这是一本经典美术史论著作。美术史论泰斗俞剑华先生遗著手稿首度公开。先生梳理千年画论脉络，汇集历代画学精要，构建完整画学范畴体系，开创中国画论研究新境，这是一本学界必读经典。

封面上的一组文字提炼了俞剑华先生著作中的关键词，与书名并列排版，同款字体等大字号。将文字烫印在半透明质感的纸张的正反面，红色的文字形成了虚实的关系。内页正文选用50g的薄纸印刷，翻阅柔软舒适。同时将作者的手稿无序地排布在每一章的开篇处，用古旧的纸张印刷，突然出岁月的痕迹。书中还精选了中国古代绘画的精品作为插页，印刷在宣纸上。每一部分的内容印刷在不同质感的纸张上，层次丰富，让一本经典的著作阅读起来不会显得严肃，增强整本书的阅读体验。

The cover features a selection of words drawn from key concepts in Yu Jianhua’s work, arranged in parallel with the title, set in matching font and size. These words are foil-stamped on translucent paper, with red characters printed on both sides, creating a delicate interplay of presence and absence, of solid and void. The interior text is printed on 50gsm lightweight paper, offering a soft and comfortable reading experience. At the beginning of each chapter, Yu’s handwritten manuscripts appear in seemingly unstructured arrangements, printed on paper tinted to evoke the patina of age—subtly revealing the passage of time. The book also features selected masterpieces of ancient Chinese painting as inserts, printed on traditional Xuan Paper. Each section is printed on paper of distinct texture, creating rich layers. This thoughtful materiality ensures that the classic work never feels overly austere, enhancing the overall reading experience.
