Mountain Ocean Poetry is a collection of poems published for the cultural exchanges between two cities, Shanghai, China, and Bergen, Norway. It features the work of seven poets from Bergen and seven counterparts from Shanghai, who have woven an invisible thread of verse between the two cities, situated at opposite ends of the Eurasian continent. The collection is named Mountain Ocean Poetry based on the features of two cities: the mountain represents Bergen, while the ocean represents Shanghai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concept of book design mirrors this duality as well: Green symbolizes the mountains, which are Seven Mountains around Bergen; blue represents the sea, which is the Pacific Ocean to the east of Shanghai. Bergen and Shanghai are 8,313 kilometers apart, and the mountains and the sea, which were originally destined never to meet, are now in dialogue. Mountain Sea Poetry brings together the poets from these distant lands, with the thin line where the mountain meets the sea symbolizing the infinite horizon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
